Yes I am terribly behind already! One reason for my delay is my inability to come up with the "right" words to say about my beautiful daughter. There are countless things to say while at the same time no words. So I've stopped over thinking it! Mikayla is an absolute joy and I can't imagine a moment without her. She is my incredible eater and we joke almost daily that she will eat us out of house and home. She eats fruit and vegetables like no other child I have ever seen and I absolutely love it! She also LOVES running around the house and dancing to music. She gives us a run for our money but we wouldn't have it any other way :)

This was the first year that she looked forward to her birthday and next year I am not telling her until the day of because for about a month she asked us daily when her birthday was. She even woke up on Brian's birthday (October 21) at 5:30 am and was very upset when I told her it wasn't her birthday :)
She woke up on her birthday to find her present sitting in the family room. We found this puppet theater at Ditto (the second hand store that supports Easter Christian). I couldn't pass it up and hid it in the basement for several months. I suspected she would enjoy putting on shows and so far she really seems to enjoy it. It did seem a lot bigger in our family room than it did in the basement or in the store and eventually prompted me to rearrange our house a little to fit it better.
I was so thankful to my sister-in-laws who all sent Mikayla presents and she really enjoyed each one!
Thank you Uncle Nathan, Aunt Lisa, Dorian and Levi for the Bible movie and Llama book!
Thank you Aunt Kerry, Ashley, Emma and Claire for the doctor kit! (Not sure Caden is thankful :))
Thank you Uncle Ryan, Aunt Heidi, Aniah and Eden for the Dora hair dryer and accessory bag!
I still can't believe that she is 3! But the day was wonderful and I am so thankful my baby girl! I am also incredibly grateful that at the age of 3 she is only allergic to peanuts. God has answered our prayers and she can enjoy all things dairy and egg. She still thinks daddy's milk (cow's milk) is yucky and will only drink soy milk. Maybe next year I can write that she is allergy free!
I love her and it is so fun to watch her grow. She is beautiful and I pray for God to continue to work in her heart as she grows in Him. Blessings to your family!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how 3 years grows them up!!! Before you know it you will be in the pre-school drop off/pick up line tearing up because you realize that once pre-k is over, big kid world is all too close!!! (Yup, this would be me the other day!) Love the puppet theatre (although it does look rather large =) . . . hehe). She certainly is a gift!
