This is actually my Halloween post, so why in the world is my title "Tickets Please"? Well, when Mikayla became aware of the approaching holiday and Halloween was incorporated into TV shows she thought everyone was saying "Tickets Please" when in reality they were saying "Trick Or Treat"! So when we took her trick or treating to family and friends she said "Tickets Please". It was hilarious!
Before Caden was born I knew if we had a boy he would be Charlie Brown for Halloween. My father's nickname is Charlie Brown and our family has a LOVE for Peanuts' movies and books. I was so excited to find a Charlie Brown onesie from Etsy.com and ordered it this summer. Then I had the task of what Mikayla was going to be. I have an issue with needing things to match or at least coordinate! So it took a little while to settle on this pumpkin dress since one of our favorite Peanuts movie is Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. I found this dress on Etsy.com too but the price was a little high. So I sent my mom the picture and we went to Joann Fabrics and WE made the dress. That's right I used a sewing machine! My first attempt at sewing and I have to admit it was really fun to make her costume this year.
Mikayla "reading" Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin to Caden :)
"What? I can't eat the candy?"
My beautiful baby girl!
One of our Halloween traditions is carving pumpkins and we had a lot of fun this year. I enjoy searching online for patterns. Last year I carved Elmo into Mikayla's pumpkin and this year I found a Cinderella pattern for Mikayla and Brian found a Blue's Clue pattern for Caden.
(I forgot to take a picture with the candles lit in the dark, but I hope you can figure out what they look like:))
