Valentine's Day
A nice quiet night home with my husband and my kids... that's the perfect gift for me! Brian did buy us all balloons the night before and they were a BIG hit with the kids :) I don't need a fancy restaurant and I don't need an expensive gift, I just want to spend time together. I thought about making a fancy meal but then I decided to keep things easy and fun for the kids. So we had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and heart shaped pizzas for supper. (I only got pictures of the pizzas since we were running a little late in the morning for our play date.) It was also strange to me to not buy cute Valentine's Day outfits for the kids, but I am trying to keep things simpler and practice contentment instead of buying unnecessary things. So I think they still looked nice in their pink and red shirts (of which they already had). It was a nice, simple day. ~Insert content sigh~
